The Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Northern Vermont (HBRANV) is a Williston, Vermont-based trade association.  The mission of the HBRANV is dedicated to promoting, enhancing and maintaining a positive business and economic environment conducive to the construction of new housing and renovation of existing housing. The association is committed to providing for the housing needs of all Vermonters and to creating competitive advantages for its members.

Founded in 1957, the HBRANV is an association of more than 550 members. One-third of our members are home builders and/or remodelers. The remaining members are associates working in closely related fields within the housing industry, such as mortgage, finance, Realtors®, building products and services.

Members of the HBRANV, receive constant exposure on our Website, Membership Directory, Better Homes Award publication, quarterly Vermont Builder full-color magazine, monthly E-Builder, as well as, excellent rates on health and business insurance, government representation and referrals and networking through our various functions and meetings throughout the year.

All members of the HBRANV are also members of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).  The NAHB is a Washington, D.C.-based trade association, founded in 1942, with more than 800 state and local associations and over 200,000 members.  Their mission is to enhance the climate for housing and the building industry. Chief among NAHB’s goals is providing and expanding opportunities for all consumers to have safe, decent and affordable housing.  As “the voice of America’s housing industry,” NAHB helps promote policies that will keep housing a national priority.

NAHB analyzes policy issues, takes the industry's story to the public, monitors and works toward improving the housing finance system, and analyzes and forecasts economic trends. The association also represents the industry's interests on Capitol Hill and strives to ensure that housing remains a national priority when laws are made and policies are established.  NAHB also works with federal agencies on regulations affecting housing and strives to shape decisions of the courts such that laws and regulations may be interpreted favorably for the housing industry.

NAHB’s builder members will construct about 80% of the more than 695,000 new housing units projected for 2010, making housing one of the largest engines of economic growth in the country.  For more information visit their website at www.nahb.org.
